Philippines housing crisis: Filipinos need affordable homes

Southeast Asia's fastest-growing economy has a housing shortage, with more than 6 million homes needed for impoverished families.

    The International Monetary Fund expects the Philippines to become the fastest-growing economy in Southeast Asia.

    But many Filipinos doubt whether they will benefit.

    Millions of affordable homes are needed to cope with a growing population and to alleviate extreme poverty.
