Spain: Protest in Barcelona against Catalan separatists' trial

Thousands marched in Barcelona against the trial of 12 Catalan separatist leaders that started this week.

    Around 200,000 protesters have marched through Barcelona, protesting against the trial of 12 Catalan separatist leaders and calling for them to be released immediately.

    Twelve leading figures are being tried for their roles in the 2017 referendum and declaration of independence from Spain.

    Al Jazeera's Nadim Baba reports.
