Palestinians to protest on 25th anniversary of Hebron shooting

They are to protest against the divided, militarised nature of daily life in the part of Hebron.

Palestinians are preparing for demonstrations to mark the 25 years of a mass shooting inside a mosque in Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

As many as 29 Palestinians were shot dead while they prayed by a far-right settler in 1994.

This year’s protests are happening as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seeks support from far-right groups ahead of elections in April.
