The Berlin International Film Festival is under way.

Dozens of films are screened during the Berlinale, a festival known for its political cinema, and the one judged best is awarded The Golden Bear prize.

At this year's Berlinale, many of the films are directed by women - a development that the actress who leads the festival's jury believes can only be a good thing.
