Palestinians lose eviction appeal in Jerusalem

The property is in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of East Jerusalem, which has long been targeted by Israeli settler groups.

Dozens of Palestinians fear they are about to be forcibly evicted from the homes they’ve lived in since the 1950s.

And hundreds more face a similar fate in the same neighbourhood of occupied East Jerusalem.

Campaigners say their plight is part of a systematic process by Jewish settlers to take over the city.
