UN visits UK's poorest places

The UN rapporteur on poverty and human rights is in the UK to find out how some of its downs descended into poverty.

    Poverty is worsening in Britain and the United Nations is trying to find out why by investigating areas in the UK hardest hit by a decade of austerity.

    One such place is the town of Jaywick on England's east coast.

    Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from Jaywick.
