Raging California wildfires kill 9, force thousands to flee

Entire communities destroyed as firefighters struggle to contain fires plaguing state.

    A state of emergency has been declared in the US State of California, where raging wildfires are causing widespread destruction.

    At least nine people have died - and tens of thousands of residents have been ordered to leave their homes.
