Mbappe's emotional visit to Bondy

The French football star went back to his hometown for the first time since helping France win the World Cup in Russia.

    French football star Kylian Mbappe was back in his hometown of Bondy, a suburb of Paris, and thousands thronged there to greet him.

    Mbappe was one the stars of the World Cup this year, his success making him a hero in the place he grew up.

     

    Al Jazeera's Natasha Butler reports from the Paris suburb of Bondy.
