Efforts to save endangered rhinos in South Africa show hope

Forensic experts are succeeding in reducing poaching that is putting the species at grave risk.

It is World Rhino Day, a day that highlights how all five species of the heavyweight of the wild are critically endangered.

Attention is focused on how many are being killed every day – but in South Africa, there is a ray of hope as DNA technology and expert teams of rangers are succeeding in reducing poaching there.
