Venezuela exodus threatens to spiral out of control

Neighbouring governments are trying to make it harder for Venezuelan migrants to stay or even enter their countries, but despite their efforts the exodus keeps accelerating.

Venezuela‘s neighbours are cracking down on the number of migrants crossing their borders.

It follows a rise in hostility towards Venezuelans trying to escape the country’s prolonged economic crisis.

Now, Brazil is sending troops to its border after hundreds of migrants were run out of town by locals who set fire to their camps.
