US senators to grill Mike Pompeo on Trump-Putin Helsinki meeting

US secretary of state will appear before a Senate panel to explain what happened during the two leaders' recent closed-door meeting.

    The White House still has not released most of the details from the one-on-one meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, nine days on from the Helsinki summit.

    That will be one of the questions put to the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, as he testifies before a Senate panel on Wednesday.
