Leaders of the BRICS bloc oppose protectionism

Donald Trump's threats and tariffs have given the BRICS countries even more reason to increase trade and cooperation among themselves, as their leaders meet in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    Leaders of the BRICS bloc of emerging economies are calling for an open and inclusive trading system.

    The calls come in the wake of a number of protectionist tariffs introduced by US President Donald Trump.
