Iran defends blocking Strait of Hormuz as defensive strategy

    A senior Iranian national security official has told Al Jazeera the United States is the biggest threat to Iranian national security.

    While Iran does not want direct confrontation with the US, Naghavi Hosseini says blocking the Strait of Hormuz is a part of the Iranian government's defensive strategy.
