US Green Party hoping to make gains in midterm elections

The Greens are fired, aiming to perform well in the mid-term elections and hoping to change the direction of American policy.

    The Green Party in the US is hoping to capitalise on the current political impasse in November's midterm elections.

    The party believes it can take advantage of anger at the Trump administration and frustration with the Democratic Party.

    Around 200 candidates and their supporters are holding their annual meeting in the state of Utah.
