North Korea, China on the agenda of security summit in Singapore

The Trump-Kim meeting and US concerns about the ‘militarisation’ of the South China Sea were the top issues raised at the Shangri-La Dialogue on Saturday.

Asia Pacific nations have given a cautious welcome to US President Donald Trump‘s decision that his on-off summit with North Korea is back on – but Seoul is warmly supportive of the news.

The Korean Peninsula was top of the agenda at that international security conference in Singapore.
