US returns Iraq’s stolen artefacts

Nearly 4,000 ancient artefacts that were illegally smuggled to US retailer Hobby Lobby were returned to Iraqi officials in Washington.

Ancient artefacts have been handed back to Iraq, after they were falsely labelled and smuggled into the United States.

The US arts-and-crafts retail chain Hobby Lobby bought nearly 4,000 pieces.

It is believed they were destined for a Christian museum, which is closely linked to the Hobby Lobby retail chain.
