Sri Lanka cricket officials call for probe into match-fixing
Hours after Al Jazeera’s documentary on cricket match-fixing aired, Sri Lanka’s cricket board suspended two persons involved and called for a criminal investigation into the alleged corruption.
Sri Lanka‘s cricket authorities have called for a criminal investigation into suspected match-fixing following an investigation by Aljazeera’s Investigative Unit. A player and an official have been suspended, while world cricket‘s governing body, the ICC, investigates the case.
