Trump tweets: 'No more DACA deal'

US president has said there will be no deal with Democrats on the Obama-era programme called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, also known as DACA.

Donald Trump says there will be no deal to protect hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants who arrived in the United States as children.

The president made the announcement about the so-called Dreamers on Twitter.

He also threatened to pull out of a free trade agreement with Mexico, if it does not do more to stop people from crossing the border.

Al Jazeera's Diane Eastabrook reports from Washington, DC.
