Thousands of Syrian refugees at risk if they return

International agencies are warning governments not to try to pressure Syrian refugees to return to Syria.

    International aid agencies are warning that hundreds of thousands of displaced Syrians are at risk of being forced to return to their home country despite the devastating war.

    A joint report by six leading agencies says neighbouring countries, as well as European and US governments, are putting pressure on refugees to go back to a country where the threat to their lives is high.
