Bulgarians protest turning forest into ski resort

Environmental activists in Bulgaria are protesting construction plans that could destroy some of the most important forests in Europe.

    The Bulgarian government - which currently holds the presidency of the EU - is supporting a scheme to turn the Pirin national park into a ski resort.

    Critics say those behind the development are offshore companies involved in tax avoidance.
