Northern Ireland future unclear post-Brexit

Without a functioning government in Northern Ireland, details of the post-Brexit relationship with the Republic of Ireland remain unresolved and, more than esoteric trade laws, the very peace deal that ended ‘the Troubles’ could be at stake.

It’s been a year since the government of Northern Ireland collapsed.

Politicians from both sides of the divided community are warning that the peace process could be at risk.

They say the British government has failed to come up with a plan to guarantee economic stability and security.
