Former Wimbledon champion Jana Novotna dies of cancer

    Former Wimbledon champion Jana Novotna has died, aged 49, at her home in the Czech Republic following a long battle with cancer.

    While Novotna became famous for her tears in the 1993 Wimbledon final defeat, she will be remembered as the Wimbledon 1998 champion.
