The Myanmar government minister responsible for repatriating Rohingya refugees from Bangladesh has told Al Jazeera the Rohingya may have 'planned' their exodus to give the appearance of ethnic cleansing.

    More than half a million Rohingya refugees have fled across the border after a military crackdown in Rakhine state.

    Al Jazeera's Yaara Bou Melhem reports from Yangon.
