Rex Tillerson emphasises importance of US-India partnership

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is now in India. It's the latest stop on a tour that has taken him to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan.

    US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is now in India.

    It's the latest stop on a tour that has taken him to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan.

    While Tillerson's stop in Pakistan was a bare-bones affair, in India, he will visit a cultural site, hold a press conference and spend the night. Even speaking about India, Tillerson used a noticeably different tone, casting the India-US relationship as a critical economic and military alliance.
