Mogadishu bombing: Turkish base was the ‘intended target’

Details of the massive bombing in Mogadishu last week have become clearer and intelligence officials in Mogadishu say that the real target was a Turkish military base in the city, the biggest base Turkey has abroad.

After Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Mogadishu in 2011, Somalia has become the largest recipient of Turkish aid in the world.
