The United States Justice Department has indicted two Chinese men for manufacturing and shipping thousands of doses of the potentially deadly drug Fentanyl directly to US consumers.

The US says the men ran at least two chemical plants in China which produced tonnes of Fentanyl and other opiate substances.

The indictment is part of a wider operation to combat opioid abuse which has affected many communities in the country.
