EU threatens Greece over flow of refugees

Greece could be expelled from the Schengen free travel zone owing to the continued flow of refugees through its shores.

Greece has been threatened by the European Union with expulsion from the Schengen free travel zone if it fails to stop allowing refugees and migrants from passing through.
 
The warning comes as aid groups say there has been a sudden increase in people smuggling at Greece’s northern border with Macedonia.
