The Philippines has developed a reputation as a global hub for cybercrime – including child pornography.
Now the government says it is stepping up its fight against the exploitation of children online.
“I think it’s an eye-opener for the government and for the law enforcers that our children here are very vulnerable in this kind of crime,” said Ronald Aguto, from the National Bureau of Investigation.
“And it gives more reason for the law enforcers to double their effort in trying to protect our children.”
