California deploys hundreds in oil spill clean-up

Ecosystem under threat after 2,500 barrels of crude oil leak from Santa Barbara pipeline.

California’s local government is deploying hundreds of extra people to clean up an oil spill.
 
About 2,500 barrels of crude oil leaked from a pipeline on Tuesday in Santa Barbara, posing a threat to humpback whales, sea lions and other species.
