Thousands displaced by El Salvador gang violence

More than 15,000 Salvadorans have migrated to the United States since 2013 as gang violence has made the country a difficult place to live.
In order to protect themselves, people who cannot leave are forced to move from one neighbourhood to the next.
A study cited by the UN agency for refugees says last year alone saw 13,000 Salvadorians internally displaced.
