Iraq splitting along sectarian lines in ISIL fight

Instead of uniting Iraq’s communities, the war against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group is opening old wounds and creating further conflicts.

In the country’s north, Shia militias have been accused of preventing Sunnis from returning to their homes after ISIL fighters are driven out.
 
Kurd and Shia commanders deny the allegations, but some blame the Sunni population for allowing ISIL to take over the area in the first place.
