French town’s Muslims see attitudes hardening

Residents of Lunel wonder if common French spirit will survive as mosques face increasing scrutiny after Paris attacks.

Following the Paris attacks that killed at least 129 people, France’s government has stated that it aims to shut down what is calls “radical” mosques and expel their religious leaders.

Muslims living in the small French town of Lunel say they have always been under scrutiny.

But now they fear it will only get worse, as Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Jamjoom reports.
