Middle East hosts para-athletic games for first time

Five world records broken in Doha on opening day with organisers hoping event changes attitudes towards disability.

    It's the first time the IPC Athletics World Championships is being held in the Middle East.

    As well as showcasing top level sport in Qatar, organisers hope the event can continue to change attitudes towards disability in the region.
