Bangladesh border enclaves blighted by crime

Thousands of Indians who live in landlocked pockets within Bangladeshi borders suffer on account of police absence.

More than 30,000 Indians live in small enclaves landlocked within Bangladeshi borders.

For nearly 70 years, there has been no police presence there because of a bizarre border arrangement. Consequently, many murders and other criminal cases remain unresolved.
