Ukraine fighting leaves families homeless

Intensified fighting in the country’s east displaces increasing number of civilians as it destroys homes.

Fighting in eastern Ukraine between pro-Russia separatists and Ukrainian forces has intensified in recent weeks. Shelling from both sides has taken its toll on an increasing number of civilian lives and destroyed many homes.

Al Jazeera’s Charles Stratford reports from the flashpoint city of Donetsk, where he met a family that became homeless by the conflict.
