Afro-Cubans still at mercy of white wealth

Eradicating racism was one of the main driving forces during the Cuban Revolution, particularly racism against Afro-Cubans. However, almost 50 years on, not much has changed for black Cubans. They still occupy the majority of the lower rung jobs and remain at the mercy of white wealth and power. Paradoxically, one school of thought says that it was the very idea that all Cubans were equal under Communism that was the problem.
