Lebanon’s Tripoli tense after suicide blasts
City on edge after bombings claimed by al-Qaeda franchise killed nine people in Alawite neighbourhood.

In Lebanon, security forces have raided a prison looking for inmates with links to two suicide bomb explosions. Nine people were killed in the northern city of Tripoli in the attack on Saturday.
The bombings, which was claimed by the Nusra Front, the Syrian al-Qaeda branch, targeted the Alawite community that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad belongs to.
