Australia celebrates 100 years of surfing
Australians learned how to surf a century ago, and now their country is known as the home of the sport.

A 100 years have passed since the Hawaiian Olympian, Duke Kahanamoku, gave a demonstration surf in Sydney and popularised surfing for the masses.
A century on, a re-enactment of that famous surf has been carried out on the same beach where it was performed – one of the most popular beaches in Sydney known as Freshwater beach.
