One Minute Sustainable Development Goals

    The UN wants to end poverty and climate change in the next 15 years.

    More than 150 world leaders are attending a three-day UN summit to formally adopt some ambitious new Sustainable Development Goals.

    The United Nations asked civil society groups, businesses and governments the question: "How can we make the world a better place?"

    The response was huge. People lobbied for their favourite causes that they were passionate about. They took a couple of years to make a list.

    The Stream's Femi Oke explains what these goals are and how such proclamations have fared in the past.
