Nepali volunteers deliver quake aid on bike

With government failing to deliver basic health and sanitation services, locals take matters in their own hands.

There were serious humanitarian problems in Nepal before the earthquake struck, with the government failing to deliver basic health and sanitation services.

Following the disaster, things got even worse, forcing volunteers to take matters in their own hands.

Young Nepalis are organising and are using their own transportation to go to relief missions on their bikes to reach remote and hard-hit areas.

Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Jamjoom reports from Kathmandu.
