Congress to hold hearings on issue after riots that followed African American teen’s death in Missouri.

The US Congress is due to hold hearings on allegations of militarisation of America’s police forces. The issue has gained traction in America ever since the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, in the US state of Missouri, which ignited weeks of riots.
Brown’s death touched off protests and the police response that followed was heavily criticised. Al Jazeera’s Melissa Chan reports from Oakland, Caifornia.
