Philippine war refugees remain homeless

A year after being displaced by fighting, thousands of families in Zamboanga City living in makeshift homes.

Thousands of families in the southern Philippines are still living in makeshift homes, a year after being displaced by fighting.

More than 100 people were killed when rebels fought the army in the city of Zamboanga last year.  

Now, the Philippine government is facing some criticism about the time it has taken to resettle people.

Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride reports from Zamboanga City.
