France’s far-right sets sight on presidency

Marine Le Pen’s party secures Senate seats for the first time, beating President Hollande’s Socialist party.

The Far-right National Front leader in France has said that she is confident that her party will win the French presidency.

Marine Le Pen’s party secured seats in the senate for the first time beating her rival Socialist party lead by President Francois Hollande.

Le Pen’s victory has fueled speculations that France is tilting towards the right politically.
