Blame game begins over Kashmir floods
Unregulated development choking flood channels cited as a reason for worst flooding in a century.

Homes, livelihoods, and lives in Kashmir were all destroyed by the worst flooding in more than century.
In the past few decades, both people and the government have developed over flood channels meant to redirect water. These increasing unregulated, and sometimes illegal, developments are now being blamed for damaging the region’s natural flood protection.
Al Jazeera’s Faiz Jamil reports from Indian-administered Kashmir’s Srinagar.
