Mapping the world’s worst Ebola epidemic

More than 2,600 people in West Africa have been killed by the virus, for which there is no known cure.

The world’s worst recorded epidemic of the Ebola virus has killed more than 2,600 people in the West Africa.

Most of the deaths have been recorded in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. The outbreak has also touched Nigeria and Senegal.

Use the map below to see where cases of Ebola have been reported. The data on affected areas and the number of Ebola cases and deaths come from the World Health Organisation , the  Centres for Disease Control and Prevention  and Liberia’s health ministry .
