Islamic State shifts tactics in northern Iraq
Sunni armed group controlling Mosul tries to evade US air strikes and Kurdish forces by turning to smaller units.

US airstrikes have hit targets near Mosul Dam in northern Iraq held by ISIL.
The US Central Command says the airstrikes aim to support Iraqi and Kurdish forces, and to protect American personnel and facilities.
But well-armed Islamic State fighters appear to be changing tactics slowing down the gains made by Kurdish peshmergas.
