Kurdish forces take Iraq’s largest dam

Peshmerga forces fighters, backed by US air strikes, are making gains in Iraq.

Beyond Mosul, which is under control of the Islamic State group, Peshmerga forces are pushing in from the northeast.

They have retaken control of the country’s largest dam, but the fighting is far from over.
