Shujayea residents return after shelling

Gazans, briefly returning to their homes to bury dead and salvage what they can, forced to flee as truce breaks down.

The Shujayea district in the Gaza Strip has been a no-go zone since July 20.

On Friday, its residents briefly returned to their homes to bury the dead and salvage what they could, but they were forced to flee as a planned 72-hour ceasefire broke down just hours after coming into effect.

Al Jazeera’s Imtiaz Tyab reports from Shujayea.
