UK finds cooling reduces baby brain damage

A new study in the UK has revealed that cooling babies who have suffered a traumatic lack of oxygen during birth can reduce brain damage.

The findings show that inducing hypothermia stops brain cells dying and that the benefits last all through a child’s development.
