Fighting in Iraq has displaced almost one million people, with most of them in the north.
Towns there are being shelled by the government forces trying to drive out armed Sunni rebels.
Local charity Al Rahma has been struggling to provide assistance for hundreds of refugees.
Al Jazeera’s Jamal Elshayyal reports from Khanaqeen in northern Iraq.
